Mr. Lefkoff, a General Partner, has 20 years of venture capital experience
in Colorado, and has been the principal or lead investor in 56 Colorado
companies. Mr. Lefkoff's venture capital investments include life
sciences, enterprise hardware and software, and natural foods retailing.
Mr. Lefkoff is a Director of Metabolite Laboratories, Centerstone,
Trust Company of America (with Mr. Roshko) and ARCA Discovery. He
is the Chairman of the Board of ArrayBiopharma (NASDAQ: ARRY), BaroFold
and Hiberna. He is past Chairman of the Venture Capital Association
of Colorado and an Adjunct Professor of Finance at the University
of Colorado School of Business.
From 1986 until co-founding BV in 1995, Mr. Lefkoff
was a general partner of CVM Equity Funds. He also created and
managed University Research Corp. from its inception in 1988 to
its liquidation in 2000. URC was formed to invest in start-up companies
that commercialize faculty discoveries made at the University of
Colorado, and is among the most successful portfolio of public
university spin-offs in the U.S.
Mr. Lefkoff received his B.A. in Economics
from Vassar College (summa cum laude) in 1981. In 1980, Mr. Lefkoff
completed a Fellowship in Economic History at the London School
of Economics. In 1985, he completed his MBA in Finance at the
University of Chicago.
