Mr. Macks, a co-founder of BV, has actively managed a portfolio of early-stage private equity investments for over 18 years. In BV V Mr. Macks assumed the position of Founding Partner. Mr. Macks also has over 18 years experience in various operating businesses.
Mr. Macks is a member of the Maryland Bar. He is a Director on the Board of the Mid-Atlantic Venture Association (MAVA), Co-Chair of MAVA's 2003 and 2002 venture fair "Capital Connection", Vice President and Director of the Baltimore Museum of Art, and is an officer of The Associated: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore.
Mr. Macks graduated from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1984 and received his undergraduate degree from Washington University in 1981.
Mr. Fidler, a co-founder of BV, has 22 years experience in operations, asset and investment management and financing. In BV V, Mr. Fidler assumed the position of Founding Partner. Mr. Fidler was formerly a practicing attorney with the New York City firm of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, where he specialized in corporate and securities law. He is a member of the Maryland and New York Bars.
Mr. Fidler is also a member of the Board of Directors of Home Properties, Inc. (NYSE: HME) and the Maryland Region Advisory Board of SunTrust Bank. He is President of the Board of Trustees of The Park School. He holds various positions with The Associated: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore.
Mr. Fidler received his law degree from New York University School of Law (cum laude) in 1980, where he was an editor of the Law Review and a member of the Order of the Coif. He received his BA from Brown University in 1977.
